“I’ve most worked with Emmanuel in Guinea where he was hired to co-lead another Train the Trainer program. Here, I saw first-hand the incredible energy of Emmanuel as a teacher. Personally, I’ve been impressed with his ability to understand the goal of a program and remain diligent in making sure each day’s session takes the team closer to achieving that goal”
Rebecca Davis, Executive Director Mindleaps
Emmanuel Osahor has been devoted to bringing dance to underserved kids and youths across Africa, by serving with NGOs such as Mindleaps and Hearts Heartist.
He is currently serving with MindLeaps, a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to building a bridge to education and positive livelihoods through dance.
“The fact that these kids make so much out of the little they have, and dance with so much passion, inspires and encourages me to share my light with the world. Reminding me of the reason why I was given this gift, which I developed into a skill, to share, and serve humanity”.
In the future, Emmanuel hopes to reach more of the most vulnerable kids and youths. To work with organizations to bring this amazing art form of dance to people who ordinary would not be exposed to such raw happiness. He looks to be part of a future where young people across Africa and the world have the opportunity to take positive charge of their lives regardless of their environmental and societal limitations.
“I hold space for children who have a vision for how they want their life to be, but are confused, and do not have a clear picture of how their life will turn out. I hold space for anyone who define their success in non-conventional spaces. For spaces where there are no blue print. You have to believe that miracles can happen. Afterall look what is happening to me”.
